While flagship pricey smartphones get all the attention, manufacturers are now releasing plenty of inexpensive models that are worth serious consideration. If you want to upgrade your device but don’t want to spend half a month’s salary on your purchase, check out our list of the best, most affordable phones in the market right now.
Samsung Galaxy A53
Despite its low price, the Samsung Galaxy A53 is certainly not cheap-looking. This beautiful budget phone has an amazing screen and even better cameras. The photographs it produces are so vivid and vibrant that they require very little modification if you care to share them on social media. Of course, the 6.5-inch screen is as impressive due to Samsung’s AMOLED display technology, which makes every piece of content you view bright and vibrant. We also found the images to be quite sharp, thanks to the 120Hz refresh rate. Unfortunately, the charging is a little slow, but unless you require a fast flagship for your daily mobile demands, this isn’t a deal breaker.
iPhone SE
This 5G-capable smartphone doesn’t scrimp on performance or connectivity, and it features Apple’s A15 Bionic chipset, which is also present in the current iPhone 14. Even though it has the same design, it is a worthy upgrade to its predecessor. It is also almost the same weight as the iPhone 13 mini but comes without the annoying edges, making it a delight to hold. If you want better cameras and a larger screen, this may not be the right phone for you. That said, if you prefer a smaller screen and don’t take many photographs, this is the best value-for-money option from Apple.
Google Pixel 6
The Google Pixel 6 is the phone to beat if you want a powerful device at a low price. It’s not the quickest phone on the market – for that, you’d need to buy a pricey flagship – but it comes with the latest version of Android and performs admirably, due in large part to Google’s Tensor processor. We discovered that the processor also helps boost and elevate the phone’s camera software and, thus, photo-taking skills, making it a fantastic alternative for budget-conscious consumers who take a lot of images and videos.
